One Nation, Under God
Well the time for schools to start on their summer vacations is here and most of the schools were already closed because of the Coronavirus, so everyone was more or less prepared. The Dodson graduation was postponed to a later date this summer, so hopefully can have it at that time.
Work is being scheduled to begin on the new bus barn to hold the school's new busses. It will be built near the school on the old Chezik property.
I understand the planned school reunion has been cancelled---maybe it can be planned again for next year.
The weather has not really been cooperating for fresh flowers and for gardens to be coming up good. Some new flowers that were set out on one of the warmer days suffered from the frost. I suppose we will soon be crying that we are too hot. I don't suppose anyone is going to complain tho if the wind ever don't blow.
Dumping at the dumps has again become very careless and disrespectful and I'm sure not all of it is from the Dodson community. Let's all be a little more civic minded. Our thanks to the driver who changes the receptacles and the county crew for trying to keep things pushed into the pit. Sometimes they do not even get their stuff into the receptacles.
Polly Solberg attended a graduation party at Art Solberg's for Blake Chambers.
Terri Cole and Velma Broadhead are still delivering Meals from the Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Lutherans please remember that services are supposed to start in-house at the church again on Sunday, May 24. Everyone is welcome.
Hopefully the isolation can be let up some soon but people must still be careful and take precautions. It would be nice to visit in person instead of only on the telephone again.
Take each day with a smile and enjoy your week! Even hearing the birds sing bring us a sign of spring
A lot of people have already gotten their stimulus money. I hope they are using it all for good purposes and perhaps saving a little for need later on. We're not going to get one every month or so.
Birthday greetings are sent to Helen Wiederrick, Bruce Kienenberger, Edmund Mortenson and all others having a birthday this week. Congratulations are extended to George and Berta Anderson on their anniversary.
Children are natural mimics ---they act like their parents in spite of every attempt to teach them good manners. Watch yourself.
