One Nation, Under God
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paul A. Hofer 78, of Loring Colony. He went peacefully to meet his savior Jesus Christ.
Paul was born at Wolf Creek, Alberta in 1942 and moved to Deerfield, Mont., when he was five years old. The Colony later split, and he moved to North Harlem, Mont., where a year later he married the love of his life, Annie P. Hofer (1964). There he was dairy boss for many years.
In 1982 the Colony Split again and he moved his family to The Loring Colony. There, later he became the German schoolteacher and gardener. He helped his son Ed with the carpentry work for many years. There was no job too big or small that he couldn't complete. He always lent a helping hand wherever he was needed. Paul was a very determined and strong natured man, never losing faith in the Lord. Who helped him through many tough times.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Rachel Hofer, a baby girl Anna, brothers-in-law Peter and Josh, and a grandchild.
Paul will leave to mourn his loving wife of 55 years, his sons Leonard (Leigh) of Harlem, Mont., Ed (Matilda) of Loring, Mont., Tim (Christina) of Loring, Daughters Rachel (Michael) of Hines Creek, Alberta, Helen (Edward) of Turner, Mont, Grandchildren 15 and eight Great Grandchildren. Brothers Pete (Mary) of North Harlem, Mont., Sam (Susie) North Harlem, Darius (Becky) of North Harlem, Sisters Rachel (Peter) Enchant Alberta, Susie (Joe) of Holden Alberta, Margaret (Josh) of Wolf Creek, Alberta, Dora (Peter) Lakeside, Alberta and numerous nieces and nephews.
