Phillips County school board elections canceled

Each of the four Phillips County school districts have announced that their upcoming elections have been canceled as all county schools continue to deal with COVID-19.

Malta Public School District Clerk Jane Knudsen reported that the trustee election, annual mill levy, and building levy election have been canceled. The mail-ballot only election was to be held on May 5. The trustee seats on the Malta School Board have been filled by incumbent Kevin Koss and Justin Lamb who replaces Levi Tatafu who did not seek reelection.

Saco School District Clerk Mandy Sunford reported that both their May 5 trustee and annual mill levy elections have been canceled.

In Dodson, Dodson Public School Clerk and Business Manager Connie Jones reports that their district trustee election has been cancelled and the candidates Bonnie Lankford and Berta Anderson have both been duly elected.

Whitewater School District Clerk reports that school district did not have an election scheduled during this cycle.
