One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for March 25, 2020

Sympathy to all who are effected by the COVID-19 virus in any way. Montana now has a few, sick with the virus. Our Governor Bullock has issued orders to close including here in Whitewater.

Our Whitewater was effected another way as Whitewater Lutheran Church was canceled due to the virus and also the weather. (We had a big snowstorm and almost all activities in the county seemed to have been canceled.) Many Whitewater folks had planned on attending them, especially Ag Day in Malta.

We shouldn’t panic, but one of the biggest concerns is being out of toilet paper. This was evident when I went to buy some at the local store and the shelves were empty. Note: if anyone needs makeshift toilet paper, call me. I have stacks of catalogs which worked when I grew up. We simply tore a sheet out of the catalog and like true pioneers used that as toilet paper. Don’t worry, this too shall pass.

Back to the present. There was a lovely bridal shower for my granddaughter on March 14 and Challise got many nice gifts. She says ‘thanks” for all of them. Also, “thanks” for all the delicious lunch, cakes, and decorations and to all who helped. It was a very nice shower. Challise plans to live in Bozeman after the marriage.

Before the shower, Jeanie, Rory, Sommer Green and myself met with Julie Cole and we all went for pizza. It was good to see and get to visit with Julie.

Back to Whitewater. Get well to Janice Reichelt who was in Billings for treatment.

Again, happy birthday to Pastor Bob Nagy of Whitewater Lutheran and to all those celebrating March birthdays and anniversaries.

It snowed here in Whitewater. If you see the sunset, notice the real colors. They make the snow reflect pink and it is so pretty.

Anyway, the geese are on our Whitewater Creek. That’s great. Think spring.
