One Nation, Under God
Winter continues as we still have a lot of snow on the ground but at least we have officially entered winter as of December 21. The weather keeps giving us a variety —some days warmer and it melts a little — then colder for a few, very little new snow accumulation and the wind has not blown as hard nor as much as it was. Saturday night gave us a light rain and then a bit of snow so roads were icy early Sunday morning, but the sun did shine Sunday making conditions better.
Power was out in Dodson for about an hour and a half on Saturday evening. Quite a shock when it went off so suddenly and it was so-o-o black. Thanks to the men who fixed it.
Dora Henry went to Christmas Eve services in Havre and spent Christmas with Bill and Marilyn Henry. On Thursday they went to Great Falls and were able to visit Dora's grandkids, Jim & Sarah Lautenschlager & family, 3 great grandkids. Starting in January Jim will be teaching full time at the college there.
Bill Henry brought Dora home to Dodson on Saturday.
Polly Solberg was in Havre on Thursday — celebrated a birthday on Friday — and attended basketball games on Saturday. Busy lady!
Several people have fallen on the slick ground surface so watch — it can happen so quickly.
Birthday greetings this past week to Polly, Francine Stiffarm, Chance Stiffarm and Ava Welch and this week to Nicholas Hopkins and Joe KillEagle. Anniversary congratulations are sent to Les and Iris KillEagle.
Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think!
Have a good week!
