'Christmas Memories' on full display at P.C. Museum ahead of Tree Festival

"Christmas Memories" sets the scene for the Phillips County Historical Society's Christmas Tree Festival which began Tuesday, November 12, 2019. The Festival Open House is scheduled for Thursday evening, December 5, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Phillips County Museum, Malta.

Phillips County businesses, communities, organizations, and individuals will be competing in the "Festival of Trees" event. This year's theme "Christmas Memories" was inspired by the early entry of a beautiful blue and white wreath in memory of Glenn Flatt. The Festival - a competitive Christmas decorating contest includes mini Christmas trees, wreaths, wall hangings, swags, centerpieces, and table runners - is being held at the Phillips County Museum and will culminate with the Open House on Thursday evening, December 5, 2019.

This contest is a fundraiser for the Phillips County Historical Society. During the interim from November 12 to the evening of December 5, visitors are encouraged to view and vote, with a purchased token, on their favorite live auction item. In addition, they may bid on their favorite Christmas silent auction item and enter the bucket raffle.

All balloting, bidding, and "bucketing" will conclude on the evening of Thursday, December 5, during the Festival Open House at the Phillips County Museum. The live auction entry receiving the most ballots will be awarded a $50.00 gift certificate from the PCM Gift Shop. In addition to the balloting and bidding, the evening will be enhanced by a live auction beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the decorated mini Christmas trees, wreaths and swags. Guests may enjoy entertainment throughout the evening while partaking of delectable hors d'oeuvres, sweets, special hot drinks, and punch. Admission is free.

May your Christmas be 'Memorable'!
