Fatal crash in Phillips County reported by MHP

The Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) reported that on Monday, November 4, there was a fatality following an automobile accident on US Highway 101, near mile marker 104 in Phillips County.

The driver of the automobile stated that he lost control of the vehicle on the ice and the MHP report states the highway was snow-covered and icy at the time of the accident. The time of the accident was 10:16 a.m. The report states the vehicle left the shoulder of the road, tripped and rolled. One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, though the deceased was not mentioned by name.
