Fundraiser for Livestock Assoc. set for Oct. 12

A fundraiser to benefit the Phillips County Livestock Association will be held on Saturday, Oc-tober 12 at the Milk River Pavilion and will feature live music, auctions, free food, and rodeo-style events.

"They have been assisting our Conservation District and our North and South Grazing districts in defending the Bison Ordinance," said event organizer Katie Brown of the Livestock Association.

The day will include Ranch roping, Ranch Family sorting, Wild Goat Milking, Ribbon pulling, boot races and a live auction starting at 7 p.m.

Brown said anyone who would like to donate time, money, or auction items can contact her at 406-390-6581. A freewill donation meal will start at 5:30 p.m. to be followed by a kid's wild goat milking and a Calcutta of the teams at 6:30 before the 7:30 p.m. live auction. The event will also feature adult libations for sale. Look for more information in next week's Phillips County News.
