MALTA- Marie Jane Wasson, passed away at Phillips County Hospital on September 12, 2019 of natural causes.

Marie Jane Blunt was born on June 1, 1924 to Alfred and Pansy Blunt, she was raised and educated in Phillips County. During her life she worked at Phillips County Hospital, a paper mill in Camas, Wash., a drug store and on the family farm.
She married Earl O. Wasson on January 19, 1946 at Camas, Wash. They had a daughter and two sons born to them. In May 1948, Earl and Marie came to Montana to work at North Bench Farms in northern Phillips County, and purchased it over a period of time.
Marie had many loves flowers, gardening, bowling, puzzles, playing cards, crocheting scrubbies and many blankets.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hoover (Larry Sasaki) of Havre; sons, Alan Wasson (Connie) of Loring, and Kent Wasson of Whitewater; grandchildren – Kevin Hoover, Kelli Cox, Lance Wasson, Gregg Wasson, T.J. Wasson, Kyle Wasson and Nichole Wood, as well as 19 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren, her brother Clarence Blunt.
She is preceded in death by her husband Earl, siblings Alfred Jr., Grace Hellman, Velma Bean, half-sisters Lora Dyrdahl, Nina Blundridge, and Dorothy McNeil.
