One Nation, Under God
I did something strange a couple of months ago and it paid off!
I bought a pair of second hand Jordan IV Retro shoes for $40. These shoes have clearly seen better days. They are scuffed up and have pen drawn in where the paint has chipped off.
I have a newer pair of shoes that I bought, but they are now designated as shoes I would wear at nice events because they were kept in mint condition.
The first shoes that I mentioned are classified as beaters or shoes that are beat up and thus suitable for any condition. These are shoes that PJ has stepped on countless times and they have even endured a Powerade spill from my beautiful wife.
Rainy football game? Muddy Fair event? Rodeo in the Pavillion? No problem! I know the perfect pair of shoes for those types of events.
Even in their beat up form, I am happy to be able to wear these Jordans in their classic colorway because I grew up watching Jordan and it is nice to be able to buy his shoes at an affordable price, even though it is second hand. Disclaimer; I am not too proud to wear used shoes or clothes.
PJ has been enjoying Kindergarten even though getting used to the long school day has been an adjustment. Poor Lincoln has not been able to shake an ear infection even after two rounds of antibiotics, so that saga continues.
The coffee business has been going good! I am encouraged that many have been trying us out and some are even coming back.
