Dora Henry and Barb Tremblay were in Havre to have her eyes checked on Friday. They enjoyed lunch with Bill and Marilyn Henry while there.

Bonnie Lankford was at Dora Henry's and got some garden stuff while there.

It rained again quite hard on Friday night making it very wet on Saturday morning.

The hail that hit the bottom part of the state was very severe and caused untold damage. Our sympathy to those who suffered so much loss. We can count ourselves lucky we did not get it.

Terri Cole attended a transit meeting in Malta on Wednesday.

Wink and Terri Cole enjoyed a visit from their former exchange student from Mexico, Victor Santa Cruz. Matt Cole of Billings brought him to Dodson. They all enjoyed a trip to Malta on Saturday to take in the BBQ contest. It was fun tasting the different ones. Sunday Matt and Victor took Wink out to visit his brother Neil and to shoot some prairie dogs while there.

Dora Henry attended a COA meeting in Malta on Wednesday.

Polly Solberg was a visitor in Harlem on Sunday.

Again tragedy has struck and shocked this community in the tragic and unexpected death of Merle Kaasa due to a farm accident. Merle was born here in Dodson to Ozzie and Joy Kaasa and was educated in the Dodson school and graduating in 1983. Condolences are sent to his two sons, extended family and friends and former neighbors.

Birthday greetings are sent to all having a birthday this week, including Tammy Voise and Robert Olson. Congratulations to all celebrating a wedding anniversary.

Definition of a friend — someone who says nice things about you when you aren't around.

Enjoy your week — school is starting — nights are getting cooler — lets hope frost holds off for awhile yet!
