Malta High, Middle School Schedules, Practices, Handbooks, Fees and Open House

Impact Baseline for all MS students participating in fall sports will be held Wednesday August 14th and Thursday August 15th at 1:00 p.m. Please check in at MS Office at 1:00 pm for the test.

Malta High School student schedules are available Wed. Aug. 14th and Thurs. Aug. 15th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. each day.

Malta Middle School Schedules will be available Wednesday, August 14th and Thursday August 15th starting at 1:00 p.m.

Key Club Tours for the incoming 6th Graders are Wednesday, August 14th and Thursday August 15th 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Meet at Middle School Office.

All MS & HS athletes must have a physical prior to their first practice. Turn in signed physical form to the office. *Reminder 6th grade students planning on participating in Track in the Spring are required to have a sports physical on file!!

HS Cross-Country practice Friday Aug. 16th 9:00 a.m. - meet at the elementary school

HS Football practice starts Monday Aug. 19th. 3:30 p.m. at Practice field

HS Volleyball practice starts Monday Aug. 19th 4:00 p.m. HS gym

HS Fall Cheerleader practice Monday Aug. 19th 4:00 p.m. HS Corral

First day of school, Wednesday August 21st

High School Students: Report to 1st period class at 8:15 a.m.

Middle School Students: At 8:10 a.m. report to following rooms 6th Graders room 109, 7th Graders room 102 and 8th graders room 110.

School Doors open at 7:30 a.m. School Breakfast served 7:30 – 8:10 a.m. in cafeteria.

Friday dismissal time is 2:45 p.m. All School offices close at 3:00 p.m. Fridays.

1st practice for Middle School fall athletics is Thursday August 22nd

FEES: HS participation fee is $60.00. MS/HS students’ mandatory activity ticket is $25.00.

2019-20 activity tickets prices are: Family $175.00 / Adult $65.00 / All Students $25.00.

All MS / HS students must purchase their activity ticket by Thursday August 29th

Tetanus (Td) Boosters & MMR

Are recommended for students entering grades 6 – 12 who have not had them in recent years. A tetanus booster is good for 10 years and seniors will need them before they go to college.

All Middle School students are required by the State to have T-dap and MMR shots prior to 1st day of school. Contact PC Health Nurse for information.

Calculators: Recommended for 7th, 8th, HS and college use: TI (Texas Instrument) 83+, TI 84 or TI Nspire. Supply List listed on web site

Release of Information

Malta Middle/Senior High Schools will disclose student and staff directory information that is generally considered not harmful or an invasion of their privacy. Directory information will consist of at least: name, address, telephone number, date of birth, official activities, attendance, height, weight, honors, present grade and photographs. Release of information is generally to: area businesses, military, radio, newspaper, employers, colleges/universities. Middle School /High school parents wishing not to release student information are to notify Mr. Fisher in writing. This statement meets (FERPA) Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act of 1974.

The Federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 has required school districts to notify parents of students attending schools that receive Title I, Part A funds, that parents may request the professional qualifications of their child’s classroom teacher(s). Parents may write to Mr. Kuehn at the central office to get this information. Any questions, please call Mr. Kuehn at 654-1871.
