July 12, 2019

5:51 a.m. Male reported a neighbor’s dog barking; ACO handled the call.

8:12 a.m. Male reported a dog had been run over on Hwy 2, west of Saco; Undersheriff responded to the call; found to be a deer, not a dog and was removed from the Hwy.

1:13 p.m. Female reported “someone mowing her lawn” at a Dodson residence; Undersheriff responded to the call; found to be a Good Samaritan and they would not be doing it again.

1:55 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance to meet a freight train for a male having a very fast heartbeat; Undersheriff and EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

2:16 p.m. Male reported an abandoned vehicle in the Hillcrest area; caller advised the vehicle had been there for an extended amount of time; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle marked for removal and City employee advised.

2:57 p.m. BNSF employee reported the Dodson crossing would be blocked for an extended amount of time due to maintenance.

3:21 p.m. Male reported a power outage north of Wagner; information passed onto Big Flat Electric.

3:39 p.m. Female reported a power outage in the Landusky area; information passed onto Big Flat Electric.

3:47 p.m. Male reported the Dodson crossing had been blocked for an extended amount of time; information passed onto BNSF Police.

5:12 p.m. Local FD reported to the downtown area for the Summer Festival.

6:28 p.m. Female reported a “runaway juvenile” had used her cell phone; Sheriff and Deputy responded to the call; juvenile later located and transported to PCSO to be returned to her parent; case file started; information passed onto Juvenile Probation Officer.

7:02 p.m. OnStar reported a vehicle collision in a residential area; Deputy responded to the call; no accident located, OnStar had been hit by mistake.

7:21 p.m. Male reported a vehicle accident in the downtown area; Deputy responded to the call; white form issued.

8:01 p.m. Male reported a dog bite incident in Saco; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

July 13, 2019

12:18 a.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Malta area.

2:19 a.m. 911 received reporting a fight in the downtown area; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

2:32 a.m. Deputy transported one adult male, Tanner Thompson, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Assault charges.

2:50 a.m. Deputy transported one adult female, Kaylie Charlton, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing Justice and Resisting Arrest charges.

6:46 a.m. Female requested a welfare check on a family member at a local motel; female later reported male had slept through his alarm and was okay.

8:50 a.m. Local Ambulance reported to the Pavilion for the rodeo.

9:40 a.m. 911 received reporting a cow stuck in the mud on the south side of Nelson Reservoir; owner located and cow removed.

5:32 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southwestern Phillips Co until 630pm; nickel size hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

5:34 p.m. Male reported another male lying on the ground near the Old Gym; Deputy responded to the call; male later located in the downtown area; male found to be okay “just bumming around”.

6:14 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Phillips Co until 7pm; nickel size hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

6:26 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for central Phillips Co until 715pm; penny sized hail and 50-55mph gusts are possible.

6:47 p.m. Female reported a power outage east of Malta; information passed onto NorthWestern Energy.

6:49 p.m. Male reported a power outage in the Wagner area; information passed onto Big Flat Electric.

6:52 p.m. Male reported a power outage in the Whitewater area; information passed onto Big Flat Electric.

6:56 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for east central Phillips Co until 8pm; 60mph gusts are possible.

7:02 p.m. MHP Dispatch requested a welfare check on a vehicle at the Dry Fork Rd/Hwy 191 south junction; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the call; local rotational wrecker service also responded to the call; one passenger transported to Malta to a local hotel; other passenger was taken into town by the tow truck.

8:08 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for east central Phillips Co until 845pm; 50-55mph gusts are possible.

8:29 p.m. Male reported a downed power line on Hwy 191 north of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; no downed line located.

8:33 p.m. Deputy and Reserve Deputy performed building security checks in the Zortman and campground area.

9:33 p.m. Male reported a “loud motorbike or dirt bike” on the north side of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; bike had been put away for the night.

10:16 p.m. BNSF Police reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Wagner crossing and a maintainer was enroute.

10:48 p.m. Deputies reported to the downtown area for the street dance.

11:08 p.m. Male reported an alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy and business manager responded to the call; all found to be okay and alarm reset.

July 14, 2019

1:56 a.m. Male reported a stolen vehicle from a Dodson residence; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located, with disabling damage, and was unoccupied; case file started.

9:51 a.m. Local Ambulance reported to the Pavilion for the rodeo.

9:56 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a female who fell and possibly broke her shoulder; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

10:28 a.m. Female requested an ambulance for a non-emergent transport to the PC Hospital; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the hospital.

10:37 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance at a residence in Whitewater; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

4:07 p.m. Male reported damage to a fence; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

4:20 p.m. Male reported an erratic vehicle on Hwy 2, westbound towards Malta; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle located and was parked.

5:00 p.m. Female reported a branch on a power line at a local residence; information passed onto NorthWestern Energy.

6:30 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southern Phillips Co until 730pm; quarter size hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

6:42 p.m. Big Flat Electric reported to the Wagner area for an outage.

7:18 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for northeastern Phillips Co until 815pm; 50mph gusts are possible.

7:28 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Phillips Co until 830pm; penny size hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

11:53 p.m. Female reported “something big hit the side of her house”; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay in the reported area.

July 15, 2019

1:40 a.m. Male reported someone possibly poisoning his dogs in the Zortman area; Deputy handled the call.

7:30 a.m. Female reported a missing banner from the Trafton Park area and requested extra patrol in the area.

8:55 a.m. Local business requested PCSO assistance with removal of a patron from a motel room; Sheriff and Undersheriff responded to the call; individual removed without further incident.

10:18 a.m. Undersheriff released one adult female, Kaylie Charlton, from PCSO Jail on time served.

10:22 a.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Tanner Thompson, from PCSO Jail on time served.

11:22 a.m. Male reported damage to his house and other property at a residence south of Malta; Sheriff responded to the call; case file started.

12:14 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance to meet a personal vehicle transport on Hwy 2, east of Malta; local EMT Crew responded to the call; vehicle located and patient declined medical transport; would continue into Malta to the hospital by personal vehicle.

1:52 p.m. Male reported damage to his vehicle; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

3:35 p.m. Deputy transported one adult male to the Montana State Hospital for mental evaluation.

6:20 p.m. Valley Co Detention Center served a local warrant on one adult incarcerated male, David Getner.

8:00 p.m. Male reported an abandoned kayak in Nelson Reservoir and the occupant (the caller) was okay; information passed onto local Fish & Game Warden.

9:23 p.m. Female reported a fight in the street in the downtown area; Sheriff and Undersheriff responded to the call; one juvenile transported to the PC Hospital for medical attention; case file started.

9:52 p.m. Big Flat Electric reported to an outage north of Hinsdale.

July 16, 2019

3:00 a.m. Deputy reported a door open and lights on in a local church; all found to be okay, individuals staying there and forgot to shut the door.

12:09 p.m. Female reported an abandoned vehicle at the Malta Train Depot; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle marked for towing and information passed onto City employee.

1:52 p.m. Male given a one night stay at a local motel through the local Ministerial Association.

2:00 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for central and southeast Phillips Co until 245pm; pea size hail and 40mph gusts are possible.

2:14 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for east central Phillips Co until 315pm; quarter size hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

2:21 p.m. Blaine Co SO received a report of a speeding vehicle and it was also passing in a no passing zone, headed eastbound on Hwy 2; information passed onto Ft Belknap LE and Undersheriff; vehicle not located in Phillips Co.

2:27 p.m. 911 received reporting a lightning caused grass fire in the Harb Road area; Undersheriff and local FD responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

2:47 p.m. Local business requested PCSO assistance with a patron; Undersheriff handled the call.

3:00 p.m. Female reported a missing set of keys.

4:07 p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle driving in the wrong lane on Hwy 191 south, near the Fred Robinson Bridge; suspect vehicle was headed southbound; information passed on to Fergus Co SO.

5:04 p.m. Male reported a large sinkhole on Hwy 191 south of the DY Junction; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation-Mobridge section.

Several more calls and 911s received reporting the sinkhole on Hwy 191 south.

5:20 p.m. Female reported a dead cow in the canal near several businesses and residences; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the call; Malta Irrigation District employee also responded to the call; cow removed and taken to the owner’s residence.

6:39 p.m. Female requested assistance for herself as she was feeling suicidal; Deputy and local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

7:37 p.m. Reserve Deputy received a report of individuals “wacked out” and they were driving, eastbound, on Hwy 2 from the Saco area; information passed onto Valley Co SO.

7:47 p.m. 911 received reporting individuals trespassing on the callers land north of Saco; Deputy handled the call.

8:23 p.m. Male reported being assaulted by another male north of Saco; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

9:32 p.m. Male reported a situation involving a juvenile that occurred in the Sleeping Buffalo area; Deputy responded to the call; Dept of Child & Family Services advised of this situation; case file started.

10:23 p.m. Deputy served a Lake Co SO warrant on one adult male, Gage Reid; male incarcerated in PCSO Jail on that charge.

July 17, 2019

9:51 a.m. Kenco Security reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, employee do not have the correct password.

2:04 p.m. Local business requested PCSO assistance with removing a patron for non-payment; Deputy responded to the location; female removed from the location.

2:17 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 7am-10pm Thursday.

4:54 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, Gage Reid, from PCSO Jail on bond.

8:30 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a possible threat/intimidation situation; Deputy handled the call.

10:42 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 7a-10p Thursday.

July 18, 2019

3:21 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 7a-10p today.

11:34 a.m. Local business reported a break-in to the building; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

2:19 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10pm.

2:53 p.m. Female requested an ambulance for herself at the PC Courthouse; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

3:26 p.m. Female reported missing juveniles; Deputy responded to the call; caller reported finding them shortly after reporting them missing and they were okay.

5:13 p.m. Male reported a disabled vehicle near local businesses and would be removing it in a few hours.7:23 p.m. Female reported two semi trucks and trailers blocking traffic on Hwy 191 south, near the 7 Mile turnoff; Deputy responded to the call; no semi trucks and trailers located in the area.

7:45 p.m. Big Flat Electric reported to the Turner area for an outage.

9:33 p.m. Deputy and female Reserve Deputy transported one adult female to the Billings Clinic on a voluntary commitment order.10:14 p.m. Female reported a suspicious person outside of a local business; Undersheriff responded to the call; no one located in the reported area.

11:58 p.m. Male reported a female walking down Hwy 191 south near the DY Junction; several other calls received reporting the same female walking north and south bound in the same area; information passed onto MHP Dispatch.

July 19, 2019

8:49 a.m. Female reported a phone scam.

9:37 a.m. City employee requested an abandoned vehicle be towed; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle removed by a local towing company; owner later located and advised to call the Malta City to get the vehicle back.

11:04 p.m. Female reported a male had passed away at his apartment; Deputy responded to the call; coroner case file started.

2:00 p.m. Female reported a dead cat in the downtown area; ACO handled the call.

6:24 p.m. Male reported he had an elderly and confused female at his residence who was looking for a juvenile; Deputy responded to the residence; female’s family located and advised of the situation; female taken back to her residence by Deputy.
