This year’s crop tour will be stating July 15, at the Lumsden farm south of Loring. This plot is managed by MSU Northern Research Center and Agronomist Peggy Lamb. In addition, Dr. Alan Dyer, MSU Pathologist will be on hand to discuss disease in small grains. Dr. Dyer will also be at the Tuesday plot at Wagner. Wednesday, the Crop plot will be at the Mavencamp Farm off highway 2 about 5.2 miles east of Malta south of the highway. Dr. Tim Seipel, MSU Crop Herbicide specialist will be at the Saco tour on Thursday. Look for signs for the Saco tour as the plot is located north on White Road about 1/2 mile. • Monday, July 15, 5:00 p.m., Flansaas/Lumsden/Blunt Farms, meal provided by First State Bank (1 private pesticide certification point for attending).
• Tuesday, July 16, 5:00 p.m., Mortenson, meal provided by CHS/Independence Bank (2 private pesticide certification points for attending.)
• Wednesday, July 17, 5:00 p.m., Karl Mavencamp, meal provided by First Security Bank (1 private pesticide certification point for attending.)
• Thursday, July 18, 5:00 p.m., White/Sunford Farm, meal provided by Saco Dehy (2 private pesticide certification points for attending.)
