One Nation, Under God
The community was saddened to hear life long resident, Herman Dolphay had passed away on Friday, June 28th in Havre. Condolences are sent to the extended Dolphay families. Herman would have been 99 in October — he lived a long and productive life. His funeral will be on Monday, July 8th at 2 p.m. at the Dodson School with a reception following at the Lutheran Church served by the Lutheran and the Catholic ladies.
On Wednesday we had thunder, lightning and a very strong wind pushing lots of rain through. It was a storm passing through from the west and it traveled fast but covered most of Montana in different ways. Zortman, South of Malta, and east again it was hit by a lot of rain. There was at least one tornado reported in Montana.
Polly Solberg took in the Gospel Jamboree on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Dean and Carol Kienenberger took their granddaughter, Kendell, to Fargo to join a group of singers for a tour in Europe. They plan to stay for an extended visit with relatives in Fargo and Minnesota before returning home.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy July 4th and are able to spend it with family and friends. Enjoy all the fireworks!
Birthday greetings are sent to Pete James and all others of the community celebrating a Birthday and to all celebrating an anniversary.
All you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.
Have a good holiday and drive safe.
