One Nation, Under God
Bear Paw Development’s Small Business Development Center, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Development Center, will be hosting a free workshop featuring speakers from the Small Business Administration, Food and Agriculture Development Center, and Small Business Development Center. This workshop will take place on June 19th from 1:30pm-3:30pm in Bear Paw Development’s Conference Room, and will include presentations and discussion on business plan creation and various ways to finance value-added agriculture projects. Speakers will include Joe LaPlante of Bear Paw’s Small Business Development Center, Sharon Franjevic with the Small Business Administration’s Financial Loan Programs, and Michael Peter with Bear Paw’s Food and Agriculture Development Center.
“The Montana Department of Agriculture’s Growth Through Agriculture Program is a great way for ag producers and entrepreneurs to access capital for the startup or expansion of their value-added agriculture projects,” says Peter. The Montana Department of Agriculture recently announced they will be accepting applications for Growth Through Agriculture grants and loans through November 1, 2019. Application assistance will be provided by staff at Bear Paw Development’s FADC and SBDC.
