One Nation, Under God

Loring News for May 22, 2019

The little song birds are returning by the droves! I saw the flycatchers, white crowned sparrow, eastern and western kingbirds, and lots of different warblers this week! It will be an interesting summer if this many stick around! I love all the songs this time of year when they are establishing territories and trying to attract a mate.

I attended Eastern Star on Monday. It was the last meeting of the year.

Taylor Hellie hosted the Loring Womans Club at her home in Whitewater on Wednesday! The annual Loring picnic was discussed and date picked out, work committee, etc! June 19 at 5 is the picnic in the Park so come on out to Loring and join us. Check out the beautiful green of the fields and the wild Flowers! There will also be a few lawn games for those who want to compete!

Brentton Stordahl and Abby Harpold drove up to visit Grandpa Tom in the hospital on Saturday! Jacob Wilcox arrived from Craig, Wyo., on Friday. So we all had a good time visiting and telling stories! David Stordahl was also here to see his dad. Brentton and Jake haven't been here for three years, so they needed to explore!

Carol Lumsden spent Sunday afternoon visiting different people in Malta. She stopped to see Tom and I at the hospital.

Congratulations to all the graduates in the area. Whitewater held their commencement on Friday! The silver tea was marvelous as usual! Orvin Solberg was the speaker and Bella Lawless was the valedictorian!

Enjoy the bright yellow sweet peas blooming across the prairies! Soon the purple vetches will compliment them!
