Miss Montana visits area schools

Laura Haller, Helena native and Miss Montana 2018, made her way to Phillips County last week, visiting Dodson Public Schools on Thursday and Malta Elementary and Middle Schools Friday on her trip across the Hi-Line.

Haller talked to the area children about movement, and staying active, giving 20-minute presentations before answering questions.

Haller was greeted by kindergarten and first-grade students at Dodson who gifted her with flowers on Thursday. On Friday, at Malta Elementary, Haller was greeted by a packed house in the school's gym and the students were attentive as she talked about working on Viking Ocean Cruises -- where she was a professional dancer -- which took her around the world.

The trip through Phillips County was a part of Haller's visit to 150 schools across Montana.
