The Annual Malta High School Jazz Combo and Culinary Class Valentine's Dinner will be held on Wednesday, February 12 with hors d'oeuvers starting at 5:45 p.m., dinner starting at 6 p.m., and the by Jazz Combo Concert following at 7 p.m.
The dinner will be served in the Malta High School Cafeteria and the menu will feature a variety of appetizers, pulled pork, homemade buns, coleslaw, baked beans, and cheesecake. To secure reservations, contact the school at 654-2002 before Friday, February 8.
The Jazz Combo will perform in the auditorium and will feature the musical stylings of students Reese Sjostrom on bass; Blake Chambers on trombone; Raina Mortenson on tenor sax; Tyler Arnold on guitar; Kelbee Denham – alto sax; Jillian O'Brien on alto sax; Payton Clausen on tenor sax, and Cordel Salsbery on percussion.
Music on the night will feature a total of eight songs including Vince Guaraldi's "Linus and Lucy," Horace Silver's "Song for My Father," "Freddie Freeloader" by Miles Davis, and "Peter Gunn" by Henry Mancini.
