NOTICE TO NEW CONCEALED WEAPON PERMIT APPLICANTS: The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office will no longer be providing Concealed Weapon Permit classes. When you pick up the application, you will see the legal requirements necessary to obtain a Concealed Weapon Permit. If you wish, you can still complete training courses offered around the state OR satisfy the requirements of MCA 45-8-321(5), which is to show your familiarity with a firearm by bringing the weapon you plan on carrying concealed to the Sheriff’s Office and demonstrating to the Sheriff, or his designee, that you have a high degree of familiarity with the firearm.

12:07a.m. Deputy performed building security checks around the Malta area.

5:02a.m. Male reported a light on at a City lift station; information passed onto City employee.

10:09a.m. High Wind Warning in effect until 4pm today for southwest Phillips Co.

10:58a.m. Female reported finding a stray dog from out of town; female later reported the owners had been located.

12:53p.m. Local Ambulance reported to the PC Courthouse for EMT Training.

1:04p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a female who possibly overdosed on medication in the Loring area; local EMT Crew responded to the call; caller advised they would meet the ambulance on Hwy 191 north; patient later transported to the PC Hospital by the ambulance.

2:02p.m. High Wind Warning is canceled.

2:33p.m. Deputy reported doors open on a motorhome near the PCMS Drag Strip; all found to be okay and the doors shut.

3:41p.m. Local EMT Crew reported to the PC Hospital for a patient transport to Havre.

8:43p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Saco area.

10:14p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Dodson area.

11:20p.m. 911 received reporting a possible DUI on Hwy 2, west of Malta, heading into town; Deputies responded to the call; vehicle located at a local convenience store; driver found to be overly tired and vehicle had front end issues.

December 16, 2018

12:54a.m. Female filed a verbal complaint regarding barking dogs in her neighborhood; owners located and advised to take care of the dogs.

2:06a.m. 911 received reporting a reckless driver on a residential street; caller advised they were spinning circles and almost hit her house and several other houses; Deputies responded to the call; vehicle located; case file started.

1:40p.m. Female reported individuals trespassing to property in the Whitewater area; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

1:43p.m. Female reported a vehicle/tree accident, just down from the PC Courthouse; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

1:58p.m. Undersheriff requested a tow truck for the vehicle involved in the above accident; registered owner advised which company to call.

2:25p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle speeding through Dodson; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle not located due to a personal vehicle transport escort.

2:32p.m. Undersheriff reported a personal vehicle transport to the hospital that he was escorting on Hwy 2, eastbound, from Dodson; information passed onto the PC Hospital.

3:25p.m. Undersheriff reported a vehicle in the ditch, south of Malta; vehicle was not a traffic hazard and no one was around it.

3:30p.m. Female given a fuel voucher through the local Ministerial Assistance.

3:54p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving juveniles; information passed onto Dept of Child & Family Services.

9:34p.m. 911 received reporting a stranded motorist on the Regina Road; Deputies responded to the call and assisted with getting air in the vehicle’s tire; individuals went on their way.

December 17, 2018

9:07a.m. Male reported a semi truck and trailer “all over the road” on Hwy 2, westbound towards Malta; Undersheriff responded to the call; semi located and advised to park as he was over his log hours.

12:17p.m. Male reported a problem with a neighbor’s dog in Saco; caller advised to call the Saco City Office.

12:35p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a female having trouble breathing; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

8:48p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Dodson area.

10:02p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Saco area.

December 18, 2018

3:15a.m. High Wind Watch in effect from late tonight until Wednesday afternoon for southwest Phillips Co.

8:40a.m. Local MHP Trooper reported Hwy 2 was icy, from west of the Sleeping Buffalo eastbound; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.

12:42p.m. Male reported a stolen firearm; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

1:29p.m. Female reported a Social Security phone scam.

2:22p.m. 911 received reporting a westbound semi following the caller “way to close” on Hwy 2; caller advised they were west of Dodson; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

3:09p.m. High Wind Watch in effect from late tonight until Wednesday afternoon for southwest Phillips Co.

6:35p.m. 911 received requesting assistance with an intoxicated individual trying to drive; Deputy responded to the call; family member had arrived to take the individual home.

9:45p.m. High Wind Warning in effect from 5am-4pm Wednesday for southwest Phillips Co.

10:04p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a female with low blood pressure; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

10:49p.m. 911 received requesting law enforcement assistance with a male who “was out of his mind” at the caller’s residence; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

11:39p.m. Deputy transported one adult male, Wes Brown, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Disorderly Conduct charges.

December 19, 2018

2:48a.m. High Wind Warning now in effect until 4pm today for southwest Phillips Co.

8:36a.m. Male reported one of his livestock had been shot; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

9:38a.m. Female reported a male pulling a suitcase on Hwy 191 south of Malta; Undersheriff responded to the call; male not located.

2:46p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance at a local residence for a custody battle; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

3:57p.m. High Wind Warning will expire at 4pm.

7:00p.m. Female reported a dead deer in the middle of Hwy 2, east of Dodson; Deputy responded to the call and removed the deer.

11:03p.m. Male reported several vehicles in a group speeding through Dodson; Deputy responded to the call; vehicles located, some slowed down and others were under the speed limit.

December 20, 2018

7:35a.m. Male reported a dead deer on Hwy 191 south; MT Dept of Transportation employee responded to the call.

7:38a.m. Local MHP Trooper requested PCSO assistance with a traffic stop on Hwy 191 north of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; male and a dog transported to a local business where the male’s ride was waiting.

4:15p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for an elderly female who passed out; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

5:45p.m. 911 received requesting a male be removed from the caller’s residence in Dodson; Deputies responded to the call; male removed from the location and taken to another residence.

10:42p.m. Female reported a stray dog at her apartment; ACO handled the call.

12:14p.m. Male reported a fender/bender in the downtown area; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

1:06p.m. Deputy received a report of theft of livestock; information passed onto Probation Officer; case file started.

1:14p.m. Female reported a vehicle parked on the street across from her business for an extended amount of time; Deputy responded to the call; owner located and advised to move the vehicle or it would be towed at the owner’s expense.

2:32p.m. Female reported damage to a family member’s residence; Deputy responded to the call; damage found to have been caused by Mother Nature (winds).

4:21p.m. Female requested assistance with a situation involving a juvenile family member; Deputy handled the call.

December 22, 2018

12:11 Male reported a possible DUI; caller didn’t know where the individuals might be just knew they were drunk and would be driving; information passed onto Deputies.

6:57a.m. LifeAlert requested an ambulance for an elderly female who had fallen; local EMT Crew responded to the call; ambulance later canceled by family member.

12:20p.m. Female reported a Hit & Run to her vehicle; white form issued.

1:14p.m. Male reported a possible identity theft; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

1:53p.m. Male reported a semi truck running a generator “at all hours of the day” in a residential area; Deputy responded to the call; owner located and advised of the complaint.

3:54p.m. Havre PD served a local warrant on one adult female; Danielle Gard; female later released on bond and given a Notice to Appear in Justice Court.

4:37p.m. Female reported “boys shooting guns” off of Central Ave; Deputy responded to the call; no one located in the area.

4:38p.m. Blaine Co SO reported a vehicle pursuit, eastbound on Hwy 2, from the Harlem area; PCSO assistance may be needed; request later canceled as the vehicle pursuit changed to a foot pursuit.

4:53p.m. Deputy tagged a vehicle to be removed or towed at the owner’s expense in the downtown area.

8:44p.m. Female reported damage to property at a local tavern; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

12:12p.m. Male reported a lost cell phone.

1:30p.m. Havre PD Detective requested PCSO assistance with a situation involving a juvenile; Deputy handled the call.

7:29p.m. Female reported a male walking on Hwy 2, east of Malta, towards Malta; Deputy responded to the call; male not located.

8:31p.m. The Child Abuse Hotline requested PCSO assistance with a welfare check on a male possibly in a tavern with juveniles, in Whitewater; Deputy responded to the call; male and juveniles located and were ok, and not in a tavern.

11:36p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Malta area.

December 27, 2018

1:06a.m. Blaine Co Deputy requested PCSO assistance with a combative female prisoner during transport through Phillips Co to Valley Co Detention Center; BCSO Deputy stopped at PCSO for assistance; Deputies handled the call.

6:17a.m. PC Hospital requested PCSO assistance with transporting a sample to Ft Belknap; Deputy responded to the call; request later canceled and changed to transporting to Glasgow; Valley Co Sheriff meet PCSO Deputy at the county line and finished the relay.

4:31p.m. Male requested an ambulance for another male having trouble breathing; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

8:20p.m. Anonymous reported possible underage drinking in a county tavern; Deputies responded to the call; individuals had left the location before Deputies arrival.

9:27p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Saco area.

9:30p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Sleeping Buffalo area.

11:48p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Malta area.

December 28, 2018

10:22a.m. PC Hospital requested PCSO assistance with an unexpected death at the hospital; Deputy responded to the call; coroner case file started.

11:33a.m. Male reported a stranded vehicle in the Underpass; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle was removed before Deputy’s arrival.

2:39p.m. High Wind Watch in effect from Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning for southwest Phillips Co.
