Floyd Eugene Hasler, age 79, went home to his Heavenly Father peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2018, in Lewistown, Mont., following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family.
Floyd was born in Scobey, Mont. He grew up at Wagner, south of Malta, Mont. Floyd was a jack of all trades for he held many professions. He worked construction, as a truck driver, and worked in the Winifred area for many years. One of Floyd's passions was placer mining in which he built sluice boxes and set them up for mining operations. While working for Sanitation, Inc., he started F&A Recycling for recycling cardboard.
One of Floyd's greatest joys was to cook for company and he loved to make his famous baked beans and BBQ ribs. Floyd was known for his hearty laugh, his kindness, and hard work. Out of eight siblings, Floyd was the youngest. He treasured his family, his friends, his pets, and hosting get-togethers.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents John and Bernice Hasler, four brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife Ann Hasler; daughter Leila (Mike) Husman, of South Dakota; Sons Tim (Angela) Hasler, of Malta; Tony (Donna) Hasler of Billings, Mont.; Chad (Tracy) Hasler of Billings; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
