Agnes M. Kovach

Agnes M. Kovach passed away on November 25, 2018, at the age 76, with her family at her side. Agnes was born on November 28, 1941, to Roy and Velma Ennis on a farm in Boyd/Joliet, Mont., and lived most of her life in Laurel and Billings. She loved her family, friends, and enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, and playing pinochle.

Agnes is survived by her husband Arlen Kovach, and her daughters Karen (Ron) Wood of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Kristy (Dan) Case of Helena, Mont. Agnes's daughters are from her marriage to Stan Kinney. Her four grandchildren are Ryan and Stephanie Wood; Madison and Nicholas Case. Brothers: Roy and Larry Ennis, sisters: Kathy Heniken, Edith McDermott.

From her marriage to Arlen, she attained five daughters: Sis (Roy) Morgan, Lila (Dan) McWeeny, Jody Chavez, Kelia (Mitch) Hart, Holly Cook, and one son: Lane Kovach.

Agnes enjoyed going to the Laurel Locomotive basketball games, and anything musical including Neil Diamond and the Herbstfest! She was an active member of the Laurel United Methodist Church most of her life. She worked at the Yellowstone County Courthouse in Motor Vehicle, Clerk of District Court, and the Treasures' Office for 29 years. After retiring, Agnes traveled with her husband Arlen on many fun adventures including RVing in Arizona.

Agnes is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Norma Krueger and Doris Beal. Visitation was at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel on November 30, from 4-to-7 p.m. Funeral services were at the Laurel United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 1. A celebration of Agnes's life followed in the church basement.
