One Nation, Under God

Loring News for November 28, 2018

I hope all my readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving! The time is now to celebrate Advent and prepare for Christmas.

Becca and Robert Engum of Great Falls were guests of Cindy and Dave Clark for Thanksgiving Day. By the way, Becca is on the Great Falls News every so often talking about the growth of the city and how to best accommodate the area! She makes me smile!

The Johannesen family gathered at the Loring Hall for their celebration on Thursday! The Lumsden girls and families were home for the long weekend!

I saw a robin at our watering dish on Thanksgiving Day! Maybe he has decided to stick around. I also lucked out and spotted a red-breasted nuthatch! He was busy working the way up the side of the trees picking out insects!

I visited with Mercedes Simanton at the grocery store. She is doing well. Motherhood becomes her! I also ran into Pierre Bibbs. He said they were having a Keto Thanksgiving!

Sympathy is extended to the Haag family on the passing of D'Andre, on November 24. He was a student of mine about 15 years ago! Such an inspiration to us all!

Also get well wishes to another student of my past, Shade Stiles! He is recuperating from a car accident at St. Vincent's!

The college kids were home for the long weekend at the Simonson home!

The Loring Woman's Club met at the Carol Lumsden home on Tuesday! The Christmas party will be December 4 at the North 40. Let the Christmas season begin!

Basketball season will be taking off this weekend with the North Country Mavericks playing in the opening Showcase Tourney in Glasgow. Good luck to the kids!

Don't forget to call or text me with your news so I can share it in the Phillips County News.
