One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for November 21, 2018

Sympathy to the victims of fires in California.

Get well to Joyce Austin Donaven, of Kremlin, Mont., and all who are sick.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Don’t eat too much.

Congratulations to Bob and Pat Dunbar who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. There was a surprise party for them at the North 40 and their children, Pam and Dennis, and also some grandchildren attended. Sixty years is a long time to be married!

There was a Veterans Day program at Whitewater School. Mickey Ivanovich, who is Sally Austin’s brother, was honored with a salute from all. A flag was donated to Whitewater School in his honor. Mickey worked at Whitewater School years ago. It was a nice concert and program. Refreshments were served following the program.

The Maths shipped cattle to Glasgow Livestock. Now, most ranchers are through shipping this year.

The weather has been cold and we had snow. But today saw warmer weather. It is hard to know how to dress in Whitewater, Mont.

Late congratulations to Sally Austin for winning the riding lawnmower from the Phillips County Health Care Fundraiser.

Last night there was a turkey bingo event (and chicken) and I won a turkey! Gobble, gobble. That was wonderful…maybe not for the turkey, though. Many others won prizes as well.

Again, have a happy Thanksgiving.

Helen A.
