One Nation, Under God

Loring News for November 21, 2018

I am a happy reporter just back from Arizona, where it was not all that warm but there was no snow as we have up here near the Canadian border! I mostly just got incredibly spoiled the whole time! But talk about a small world, the person I sat next to on the way down was the same person I sat with on the way back! Then, believe it or not, a guy sat next to the window and he was from Hays! Come to find out we had some friends in common! He was involved in a rodeo! And as I was waiting for the plane, I saw Gale Simonson walk by, so I said hi Gale and took her by surprise! Lo and behold Eunice Simonson was there too so we had a bit of a visit! You just never know who you're going to see even in a different state!

Bible study was held at Connie Wasson's home on Thursday!

Rod Stordahl attended the funeral for Bonnie Buffington in Billings this past week. He said there were quite a few people from Whitewater paying their respects.

I happened to be at my son's in Billings when the Culligan Man came to fix something and guess what, he was from Malta! One of Vance and Paulette Spenser's sons! He said he remembered getting an amazing hamburger at the Loring Bar when he worked with Art's Furniture! Now that was a few days ago!

No services at the Loring Church this Sunday. The next service is December 2 at 9:00. I'll be doing the service. We will be putting the tree up and celebrating the first Sunday of Advent.

I wish all of you a happy restful Thanksgiving!
