Malta Duplicate Bridge
Bob Maxie and Margo Rush captured first place on Monday, November 12, while Bonnie Millar and Malcolm Clouse came in second.
Wednesday winners were Mary LaFond and Malcolm Clouse and second place was awarded to Margo Rush and Madelyn Anderson.
Whist
November 13 saw Buck Taylor score 45 good for first place and Jeanette Heinle’s 44 was good for second. The traveling prize on the day was awarded to Jeanette as well.
Pinochle
November 17 saw Lou Olson rack-up 7,430 to take first place and Leonard Leader 6,880 netted him second. Leonard and Buck Taylor shared the traveling prize.
Hi-Line Whist
On Tuesday, November 13, Gloria and Jackie bested Pearl and Lois by a 13-12 tally.
“We had visitors cheering us on as Shirley Legg and Caroline visited,” Pearl said. “Then we missed by just one point.”
On Friday, November 16, Pearl said it was really cold outside and she chickened out when tasked with walking to the Retirement Center for cards on the night.
“Shame on me,” Pearl said.
