One Nation, Under God

Loring News for October 31, 2018

I told you last week that we got a new house in Loring and now I need to say that one of our empty trailer homes has been repurposed by a family in Whitewater! How nice to have another family put it to use!

I enjoyed meeting Sebastian and Connie Blake on Saturday. So many old friends who I don't get to see much anymore were there too? Connie was a student of mine and Sebastian is her husband from South Carolina. They live in Tennessee now!

Layne Engel who works for Century Construction was home for a few days winterizing his camper. The crew will be in motels for the winter in Lame Deer!

Serena Sanguins, who is in culinary school in Kalispell, had a few days to spend with her family too. She is happy about finishing her education in a couple of months and getting a job.

Jana Wisher is also home for a week or so. She has a business called Verity Designs, printing out posters, cards, bookmarks, etc. with a biblical message.

Hannah Hanley has grown so tall and beautiful! She had a good showing at the state cross country meet!

Congratulations to North Country Lady Mavericks on their second-place finish at the District volleyball tourney! Have a great tourney in Sidney next week! And good job, Beau Simonson, for making it to the playoffs with the Malta Mustangs!

On Wednesday I had my blood tested. It is red! Haha! They check for many things throughout the body! But I did get to visit with Kathy Waters!

Keira Simonson has been competing in Vegas in the INRA. The first round was good. The second run she hit a barrel, the third was good but fourth was out of this world! She got the fastest time of the whole rodeo! Con-gratulations!

I've seen a few robins this week, lots of slate sided juncos and several Hawks flying around. The geese have started south, and many gaggles have taken off! The cranes have taken to the skies also. So noisy but fun to see! Still see a gopher or two out there as well.

Good luck to all the hunters around. Be safe!

The moon is on the wane, really sets farther north. Don't forget to set your clocks back on Sunday!

I'm putting my Christmas cactus through a drought, so it will bloom in December. I hope it works! Happy Halloween!
