Dirty water for about 10 days
City Water Commissioner, Bud Hasler, reports that Malta citizens may be noticing their water is a little dirty for about 10 days. The City Crew is running hydrants all over town to flush the sewers and the increased usage stirs up water in the mains and causes the grey water.
The work began on Tuesday and will probably take eight to 10 days to complete.
Coyote Days at Dodson High School
Last Friday the students and community of Dodson celebrated the first annual Coyote Days. The event has been organized by the school student council and judging by the success will be a main feature of the school year in the future.
Festivities began Thursday with a pep rally, kangaroo court, and bonfire. The principle event began Friday with a parade featuring well-executed floats by the school organizations.
Perfection continued to reign during the initial Coyote Days as the Dodson squad took the Box Elder Bears to task 31-7 in football.

Stained window dedication set
A newly installed "Good Shepherd" Stained Glass Window will be dedicated in worship at the Malta Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 10 at the 11 a.m. service.
The window was originally slated for the new Malta Lutheran Church building in 1962 by Mr. Allan Smith, but was not completed then, has now been completed on his memory, and is the memory of others, by generous memorial funds gathered over the last five years.
The theme of the window witnesses to the hope of the resurrection and the comfort of faith in Christ the Gentle Savior, Pastor Bad Brauer said.
