One Nation, Under God
Fall has arrived! I'm kind of sad but I know that spring will soon arrive. For now, I'm enjoying the birds migrating, the coloration changes in the leaves, and the crisp temperatures!
Now, this next story just goes to show how small our world is! I was visiting with Lori Taylor at the Phillips County Museum on Friday when I overheard a person say something about living in Loring. So I asked their names and when the lady said Doris Reimen I said, you were my mom's best friend in high school! When I told her my mom's name, Barbara Stubblefield Cowan she said, you must be Dixie! So we sat and visited for about an hour. She is 91 years old, and her little sister Joyce was with her, too. They talked about going to visit Glenn and Betty Jo Compton and John Flansaas! Their early years were on a farm north of Iver Johannesen's. Both Doris and I got goosebumps that we were in the museum at exactly the samemoment! I mean what are the chances? I'm sure there was a higher being involved!
I drove to Billings on Saturday to spend some time with my grandkids. Big changes in their lives and also my sister's as they are moving to a new house! While in Billings, I found out that my cousin Lisa from Cut Bank was down for one of her grandkids birthday party! So we got to visit but only on the phone.
Congrats to Jake and Jaimee Obie on the birth of their first baby! Congrats to the grandparents, Scott and Pat Anderson and Kathy Obie!
Also, congratulations on the two weddings of local people, Leah Olson, and Kyle Stenvik got married in Lewistown but not to each other! Bruce and Lynn Hill attended the weddings!
Keira Simonson participated in a rodeo in Havre. The last I saw she was sitting # 1 in the Barrels! Congrats to her!
Kenny and Brenda Clark had a little getaway in Zortman this weekend.
Don't forget to put your dancing shoes on for the Annual Fall Dance at the Loring Hall on October 6 starting at 9 p.m. with music by Rock Solid Country. Come on out and rock this town!
