M-ettes run at Golden Eagle Meet

The Malta M-ettes Cross Country team participated at the Golden Eagle Cross Country Meet on Friday, September 14, in Lewistown, Mont.

Malta placed eighth with 268 points out of the nine teams that fielded full teams for scoring.

The meet was held at the Pine Meadows Golf Course. "This is a hilly course" the meet invitation stated. The course surface was mostly grass and mowed wild grass, a surface that isn't as easy to run as a harder surface such as dirt or gravel roads. So the team was up to quite a challenge here.
