One Nation, Under God
Sympathy to George and Monika Taylor on loss of his mother recently. She lived in Helena.
In June, Monika went to Virginia City to visit family. I had a nice visit with her recently.
This past Labor Day weekend had lots of activities in Phillips County. Many people, including myself, went to Saco Fun Days and the day was indeed fun. There was a great parade and a delicious lunch made by Pip’s Diner and the Saco Chamber of Commerce. There were crowds all over Saco as it was their 100th Centennial year; it was also their All Class Reunion.
Sally Austin and Linda Berg went to the Fort Peck Theatre for the final play of the season.
Jeanie Green went to Miles City to visit family.
Some Whitewater people went to Nelson Reservoir or to the drag races in Malta.
The Milk River Wagon Train came thru Malta from Zortman, Mont., on Labor Day. There were many beautiful horses and so many outriders and it seemed like more wagons than last year. I watched the wagon train with the Lloyds. It really is a tribute to the past.
Farmers and ranchers are either finishing up haying or combining in our Whitewater area.
Oh, and here is a salute to our own Pat Murdock. Pat rode a horse in the Saco Fun Days Parade. Pat is 83 and can still ride a horse.
Mr. Penguin — my dog —got porcupine quills in his mouth and face! Scott S. and I got them out. The moral of this story is “don’t try to play with a porcupine!"
Have a good week and enjoy these nice days.
