One Nation, Under God

Loring News for September 12, 2018

Fall is closing in fast. The sunrise is about 6:30 and the set are close to 7:30! The moon is new on Sunday so as this comes out a small crescent moon will be visible. Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, and Venus are still visible in the evening sky through September.

Jane Ereaux, Sue Frary, Lu Besel and Dixie Stordahl traveled to Fort Peck Theater on Sunday for the final presentation Almost, Maine! I enjoyed it! Four women who don't see each other often traveling in a car can fill up the hours with the interesting conversation!

The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum closed on Labor Day. I worked that day and we had a great bunch of visitors!

Carmen Norville and her daughters were visiting Pete and Carol Lumsden and Whitney and Jay Blunt over the weekend while Matt was at guards! It was fun seeing them at church!

Cindy and David Clark took in the What the Hay Bale Trail on Sunday! I'm sure they saw some creative hay art!

What a treat! I got to wish an OES sister, Bessie Mae Waters, happy 102nd birthday along with several other Eastern Star sisters and brothers, Jenny Oxahart, Doc Curtis, Sarah and Russ Osmundson! And to top it off, Sheila and Dennis Nybo were also there! I enjoyed catching up a little with my high school friends! We all wish Bessie Mae a healthy and happy year!

The PC Museum Historic Walk was another exceptional event! My friend Lu Besel presented Peggy Boyce, Jason Ulrich portrayed Henry Ulrich, Becky Hould was Margarite Hould and Orvin Solberg was Harry Austin! It's surprising how much can be learned with a little research! Addy Ulrich presented her great grandpa Roger who was my uncle! The eight students did an excellent job presenting their grandparents!

I heard that it was treated Friday at the Whitewater School and since I was going over to Lu Besel's I stopped in to see the kids and teachers! Everyone looked absolutely great! I bought a couple of bars and went over to Lu's to do our bookkeeping!

The birds have started the long trek back south to their winter grounds. I've got many goldfinches, a few flickers, Hawks, robins, and others chewing down for several days before they fly the coop so to speak!
