Jeanette "Jann" V. A'Doust Muir Webb

eanette "Jann" V. A'Doust Muir Webb suffered a massive stroke and passed away on August 29, 2018, in Lewistown, Mont.

Jann was born December 1, 1942, in Greenfield, Mass., to Margaret Vera Muir Fry. Jann was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was an artist and a writer who went to college to pursue journalism. She traveled to many places and worked with many, including journalist Walter Cronkite. Her love for animals was seen in her work with horses and wildlife.

She is Native American, a member of the Métis Tribe; her native name was Star Woman. She cared deeply and was an advocate for those who couldn't stand up for themselves, including children via her work as a Guardian Ad Litem for the State of Montana. She was also an advocate for wildlife via several organizations, including Legend of Lamar Valley/Valley of the Wolves, which was born out of a kindred spirit and love she had for the legendary alpha of the Lamar Pack, "She Wolf 06."

Jann is loved by many all over the world and will be missed tremendously, although her spirit is still with us.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William H. Muir (of the Masons) and Violet D. Zink Muir, from Nova Scotia; mother, Margaret Fry; brother, William "Sparky" Paul Hunter; nephew, Kirk Reynolds; niece, Kaoni Lei; previous spouses, Thomas Dale Oathoudt, Sr. (of the Masons), of California and Albert Webb of Missouri; great-aunt, MaMae Bouvier; and service animals, Forever and Zina.

Jann is survived by her daughter, Sherie Ann Allen Winters; grandchildren, Tara (Juan) Gonzales, Bradley Peterson and Jay Allen; step-daughters, Jamie (Dustin) Crockett and Jessica Clark-Holme; numerous great-grandchildren, Emilio, Marcellus, Payton, Jaden, Tasia, Zayden, Kimberly, Caleb, Rebecca, Avery, James and Kaiden; her service animals, who she loved very dearly, Ellie and Kay Kay; nephew, Nathan Nelson; and adopted daughters and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life was held in Jann's honor Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the Creel Funeral Home Chapel. Jann's family and friends have invited share memories and leave condolences on-line at http://www.creelfuneralhome.com.
