Malta Senior Center hosts Indian Taco feed, raffles next week

Malta Senior Citizen Center members are gearing up for a season of tasty meals to offer to the public, young, old and everywhere in between.

On Saturday, September 15, the group will serve up Indian Tacos with a twist as Indian fry bread will be offered side-by-side with flour tortillas…pick your favorite! The meal will start at 11 a.m. and, as always at Senior Citizen meals, there will be a free-will offering at the door. Funds raised from this feed will go toward repair costs for the Senior Citizen Center’s roof.

Also, during the day will be a raffle to win two gifts baskets. The first basket is a complete spaghetti dinner featuring a gift certificate from Albertsons for $10 worth of meat for the meal, French bread, colander, kettle, cheese, spaghetti, sauces, a tea assortment, mouth-watering dinner chocolates, and much, much more.

The second basket up for raffle is chockful of school supplies that all ages will find useful. There are notebooks, loose-leaf paper, pens, pencils, markers, colored pencils, a protractor, and even a Matchbox car! To top things off in the basket is a $10 gift certificate from Dairy Queen.

Both of these baskets are on display at First State Bank as are raffle tickets which are $1 each or six for $5. The raffle is an additional fundraiser for the Senior Center. Another way to purchase tickets for the raffle is to contact any Senior Citizen Center member or call 654-4283. Tickets for the raffle baskets will be held on Saturday during the Indian Taco Feed. Look for advertisement next week in the PCN and look for the raffle winner’s names here soon as well.
