Hi-Line Whist

8-15. On Tuesday, August 7, Agnes and Pearl defeated Lois and Jackie by a 13-8 tally.

“We got ahead and never looked back,” Pearl reports. “We also pray that Lois gets to feeling better.”

On Friday, August 10, the group decided it was too hot to play and postponed whist. The PCN apologizes to Pearl and the crew for this news being posted so late and for not proof-reading last week’s entry.

8-29. On Tuesday August 21, Pearl and Jackie defeated Lois and Delores in two straight, 13-6 and 13-2.

“We got the best of the draw and it continued to last,” Pearl reports.

On Friday, August 24, Lois and Dolores earned a 13-11 win over Pearl and Francis.

“We almost made it and here they came, fast as they could,” Pearl said. “Just wait though, next week is coming.”

Whist

On August 21, Leonard Leader and Ken Ruzicka tied for first place, each notching 53 points, and the traveling prize was awarded to Lee Stevens.

Pinochle

On August 23, Clair Waters took first place with a tally of 6,420 and second place was won by Ken Ruzicka who notched 6,240. The traveling prize was shared by Al Kroll and Clarence Jacobson.

Bridge

On Wednesday, August 22, Madelyn Anderson and Bob Maxie tied with Margo Rush and Bonnie Millar for first place.
