'Women Lead Phillips County' mini-retreat Aug. 23

The Great Northern's Lodge Room in Malta will be the sight of the Women Lead Phillips County one-day seminar on Thursday, August 23, which will start at 11:30 a.m. and will feature speakers KellyAnne Terry, and Rebecca Clark Engum as well as a panel of local women in business.

Engum, a Whitewater High School graduate, will be the event's keynote speaker and will touch on such topics as the benefits of starting, growing and locating businesses in Montana, the quality of life for employees, and work ethics. As the Executive Director of Great Falls Montana Tourism, Engum leads that city's effort to promote Montana's Basecamp for Art and Adventure with an intent focus on growing the Great Falls economy. She has also spent the last 10 years in Workforce Development, is a Certified Workforce Development Professional, and an accomplished instructor for The Pacific Institute Investment in Excellence.

The Woman Lead Phillips County mini-retreat is sponsored by the Phillips County Community Foundation and is open to all women. The interactive presentation for the day will feature Terry - a Lewistown resident - presenting "Creating Gracious Space" and the Panel of Opportunities will feature local businesswomen including Julie Snellman, owner of Art's Furniture, Carly Bishop, owner of Bishop Inc., Real Estate and Development, and Avery Sorenson, Manager of Family Matters.

A $25 fee includes lunch plus a contribution to local endowment funds held by the Phillips County Community Foundation to assist with local projects. Advance registration is requested by August 20th - please call Ann Wombold at the MSU Extension office at 654-2543 to register.
