7-4. On June 26, Ken Ruzicka and Kevin Stevens tied for first place with 41 each and Ken also took the traveling prize.

7-11. On July 3, Jerry Depute topped them all with a 61 point performance to snag first place and Lois Goodheart's 55 was good for second. The traveling prize for the day was awarded to Leonard Leader.

Pinochle

7-4. On June 28, Nina Jones tallied 7,290 to earn first, Sharon Emond’s 6,560 was good for second and the traveling prize was awarded to Nina and Barb Stevens. Nina and Jeanette Heinle also had a 1,500 trump.

7-11. On July 5, Von Holzhey notched 7,200 to capture first, Leonard Leader scored 6,930 for second and Clarence Blunt and Von shared the traveling prize.

Hi-Line Whist

7-4. On Tuesday, June 26, Pearl and Clara swept Lois and Deloris in three straight, 13-10, 15-3 and 15-8 to rule the day’s play.

“The cards had us granding a lot,” Pearl reported.

On Friday, June 29, Clara and Francis beat Pearl and Lois by a 16-8 mark before the teams were reshuffled and Clara and Don beat Lois and Pearl in back-to-back contests, 16-10 and 14-6.

“They went by us like a flash,” Pearl said of the drubbing. “We couldn’t do anything to catch up.”

On Tuesday, July 3, Lois and Clara defeated Jackie and Pearl 16-6 and 14-9 to rule the day.

"They were as fast as bunnies and left us poor little turtles in the dust," Pear said.

On Friday, July 6, Clara and Pearl defeated Fracis and Lois 15-2 and 13-12 to sweep the day's action.

"We were doing good until they came up fast in the second game and we just made it," Pearl said of the last game of the week.
