Rebecca Engum, Whitewater grad, to give keynote at PC mini-retreat

A mini-retreat connecting and inspiring Phillips County women to "Lead From Where They Are" has been set for Thursday, August 23, starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Great Northern Lodge Room in Malta.

Rebecca (Clark) Engum, a Phillips County native will be the keynote speaker, presenting "leadership lessons learned from 12 REALLY unbelievable life situations."

Rebecca claims she is "a Mighty Mighty Penguin (yes, a Whitewater graduate), a Bobcat full of Vim, a Champion of Small Business, and an avid consumer of quality locally grown barley, that has undergone a fermentation process."

For 10 years, Rebecca shared the benefits of starting, growing and locating businesses in Great Falls, the quality of life for employees, and the valuable work ethic for residents of Great Falls at Great Falls Development Authority. TODAY, as the Executive Director of Great Falls Montana Tourism, she leads the city's effort to promote Montana's Basecamp for Art & Adventure to leisure travelers and meeting planners with an intent focus on growing the Great Falls, Montana economy.

Rebecca spent 10 years in Workforce Development, is a Certified Workforce Development Professional, an accomplished instructor for The Pacific Institute Investment in Excellence and Thought Patterns for High Performance 3.0 curricula, an Economic Development Finance Professional, is a Certified GrowthWheel Coach, and a certified facilitator for the Edward Lowe PeerSpective Roundtable system. Rebecca is also an Economic Development Finance Professional, a Certified Export, and Trade Counselor, the 2011 Montana Small Business Development Center State Star, and is halfway through her Certified Destination Management Executive credential.

The WOMEN LEAD Phillips County mini-retreat is sponsored by the Phillips County Community Foundation and is open to all women. In addition to the keynote by Engum, the agenda includes a Panel of Opportunities featuring local women in business (to be announced), a networking break and interactive presentation by KellyAnne Terry from Lewistown on Creating Gracious Space.

A $25 fee includes lunch plus a contribution to local endowment funds held by the PC Community Foundation to assist with local projects. Advance registration is requested by August 20th - please call Ann Shettel at the MSU Extension office at 654-2543 to register.
