Pippin named Saco Schools 2018 valedictorian, DePuydt as salutatorian

Saco High School has announced that Chandler Pippin is the valedictorian and Christopher DePuydt as salutatorian of the Class of 2018.

Chandler Pippin is the son of Chris and Heidi Pippin of Saco. He compiled a 3.88 grade point average during his time in high school.

Christopher DePuydt is the son of Brian and Becky DePuydt of Saco. He compiled a 3.78 grade point average during his time in high school.

Saco's graduation will be Saturday, May 19 starting at 2 p.m. in the school's gymnasium. Joining Chandler Pippin and Christopher DePuydt in graduation will be classmates Jada Sudbrack, Bailey Funk, Sydney Zeller, and Challise Young.

There will be Saco Junior High graduation during the event and the recognition of the 50 year graduates from the Saco High School's Class of 1968.

Saco High School Senior Class have chosen Mr. J. Barry Malone as the graduation speaker.

Chandler Pippin plans to attend Montana State University-Bozeman and will pursue a degree in Film.

He is a: Four-year member of the high school track team. A four-year member of the Saco Band and Choir. Chandler is also active in NHS (2 years), BPA (4 years), TSA (4 years).

Christopher DePuydt plans to attend MSU-Billings and will pursue a degree in Finance.

He is a: Four-year member of the high school basketball and track teams. A four-year member of the Saco Band and a one-year member of the Choir. Chris is also active in NHS (2 years), BPA (4 years), TSA (4 years), Student Council (4 years) and 4H (10 years).
