Three P.C. golfers qualify for state

The Malta Golf team participated in the 2018 Class B Division I Divisional meet in Glasgow on Monday, May 7.

Malta's Grayson Waters and Chloe Hunter qualified for the 2018 State B Meet in Shepherd at the divisional meet. In another meet, Saco's Jada Sudbrack qualified for the Class C State Meet.

Malta was led by Waters in the divisional meet, as he posted a score of 91 strokes after posting a score of 43 in the back nine.

Hayden VanWichen had a score of 119, Konner Kuehn had a score of 122, Miles Bunk had a score of 132 and Ezra Judd had a score of 135. The team had a total of 464 strokes, giving them ninth place overall.

Malta's Chloe Hunter and Camryn Messerly were the only M-ettes in attendance. Hunter had a score of 123 and Messerly had a score of 135.

The Class B State Meet will start on on Monday, May 14 and end on Wednesday, May 16.

The Saco Golf Team has attended several events since being shut in for most of the spring season.

The team attended the Richey-Lambert Golf Invitational on Friday, April 27. Jada Sudbrack took third place with a score of 114. She had 63 strokes in the front nine and 51 in the back nine.

Sudbrack's score of 114 qualified her for the Class C State Meet in Great Falls on Friday, May 25, through Saturday, May 26.

During the Plentywood Golf Invitational on Saturday, April 28, Sudbrack took fourth place with a score of 104. She had 50 strokes in the front nine and 54 in the back nine.

At the Glasgow Invitational on Friday, April 27, J. Sudbrack posted a score 110.

According to Coach Elena Sudbrack, Devon Salveson improved his stroke total by six at the Glasgow meet, though he did not place in Richey-Lambert, Plentywood or Glasgow.
