Poppies in May

The Malta American Legion Auxiliary will be distributing poppies during the month of May. Please show your support for our veterans and donate.

5-11. Carly and Shayne Bishop will host an open house to announce their new business, Bishop Inc. Real Estate & Development on Friday, May 11 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the Malta Business Center, Suite 14. See their advertisement on page 6B.

Milk River Wagon Train Meeting.

5-11. The Milk River Wagon Train meeting is on Friday, May 11 at 6 p.m., at Trafton Park. We need to discuss the future of our organization. Potluck Dinner to follow, meat provided. If you have any ideas or constructive input you’re welcome to join.

Hi-Line Wool Pool

5-12. The Hi-Line Wool Pool will be collecting wool on May 12, from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Malta City Shop, located south of Malta. Questions about delivery or preparation requirements, please contact Marko Manoukian, Phillips County Extension Agent at 406-654-2543. All new producers are welcome.

MES Concert

5-14. On Monday, May 14, the Malta Elementary School 4th and 5th Grade Band and Choir Concert will be held in the elementary Gym starting at 7 p.m.

MMS Concert

5-15. On Tuesday, May 15, the Malta Middle School Pops Concert will be held in the high school auditorium starting at 7 p.m.

Malta Dirt Daubers

5-14. Malta Dirt Daubers meet on Monday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Toni Ziegler's home. Time for the annual bulb and plant sale. Public invited.

Historical Society Meeting

5-14. The Phillips County Historical Society meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 14, starting 6:30 p.m. at the Phillips County Museum. Everyone welcome!

Malta Kiwanis

5-15. Malta Kiwanis will meet on Tuesday, May 15 at 6 p.m. at Westside Cafe. Time to plan for concessions at the June 2 car show.

Nursing Home Week Dinner at HLRC

5-17. The Hi Line Retirement Center celebrates National Nursing Home Week with an Appreciation Dinner for you, our Community supporters on Thursday, May 17 starting at 5:30 p.m. for food and live music. The Fundraising Committee will be there with an Ice Cream Social and asks that you take this opportunity to give any amount or to join the 100 Club membership for 2018.

Montana Veterans Affairs

5-17. Judy Loendorf and/or Steve Mulonet, Service Officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting Malta City Hall on Thursday, May 17, from 9:30 until 11 a.m. to meet with Veterans who are interested in applying for benefits. If you are interested in applying for benefits, please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork with you.

PC Ambulance Service BBQ

5-19. On Saturday, May 19, the Phillips County Ambulance Service will be hosting their annual BBQ starting at 11 a.m. at Malta City Hall to kick off EMS week. All invited to attend.

APR Open House

Memorial Day

5-28. Memorial Day parade and BBQ May 28, 2018. Get your floats ready! Parade starts at 1 p.m. and BBQ follows the memorial ceremony.

Malta Lutheran 100th

6-23 & 6-24. Save the Date: The Malta Lutheran Church will be having their 100th Anniversary service and celebration on June 24. Previous pastors will be attending dinner and fellowship on June 23. All are welcome. Call the Parish office with any questions, 654-1434.
