Loring News for March 7, 2018

As I sit here writing the news, we are experiencing what I've been told is an old-fashioned blizzard. The snow started falling right after church, sideways and hasn't stopped yet at 7:30. Some of the day I could only see one power pole and usually, I can see 6 or 7. The snow was so thick I couldn't see Loring and those buildings are large! So this is what an old-fashioned blizzard is like! I'm glad I experienced it, but now I'm done! Winter and white can come back next year!

I have heard that Malta, Saco, and Whitewater schools are not opening tomorrow due to the roads! That's smart since it is so difficult to see in this whiteness!

There will be a short meeting after church on Sunday, March 11. Orvin Solberg will be giving the lesson.

The flu has been hitting us up here. I hope it runs its course and then disappears!

A few people have seen gophers already! And some more babies are hitting the ground, but calving is not in full swing yet!
