Malta Duplicate Bridge
On Monday, February 19, Bob Maxie and Nellie Ereaux captured first place, and second was awarded to Madelyn Anderson and Bonnie Millar.
On the following Monday, Bob and Malcolm Clouse ranked first. They were followed by Billie Rae Maxie and Madelyn.
Whist
On Wednesday, February 28, Ron Lundman bettered Lee Stevens by 14 points, 60-to-46, to take first place. Lee’s tally was good for second place and the traveling prize was awarded to Harvey Smith.
Pinochle
On Thursday, March 1, Noel Emond marched to 7,300 points to take first place and Shirley Jones notched 6,450 to take second. Shirley joined Sherman Doucette in the traveling prize and 1,500 Trump was achieved by Sherman and Lou Olson.
Hi-Line Whist
On Tuesday, February 27, Lois and Clara took the first game over Frances and Pearl by a score of 14-12 before Pearl and Frances evened the series at one apiece with a 14-8 win.
"They were two really hard-fought games," Pearl reports.
On Friday, March 2, Frances and Pearl struck first with a 13-12 victory before Lois and Clara got their revenge with a 14-4 thumping.
"We had it then here they came along, caught and then left us in the dust," Pearl reports.
