Whitewater News and Opinion for February 28, 2018

National News

The recent school shooting was a terrible tragedy! Once more there is a desperate need for restrictions on the types of weapons used Aurora, Colo.; Santa Monica and San Bernardino, Calif.; Orlando, Florida and now Parkland. Also, there is a terrific need for stronger background checks on gun sales to eliminate people with mental problems from purchasing guns.

Sympathy to the families of the children killed in this latest massacre.

There is so much snow, but the town of Whitewater thanks, Jason Hellie for his great snow plowing all over town.

Sad News Flash: The famous and fabulous pastor Billy Graham passed away at the age of 99! He will be missed by the whole world as he preached all his life. Sympathy to his family and the entire world as he was a true “Prophet of God.”
