Malta Duplicate Bridge Club

On Monday, January 29, Bob Maxie and Lois Goodheart captured first place. Second was earned by Cathy Salsbery and Bonnie Millar.

Wednesday winners were Madelyn Anderson and Bob Maxie. Donna Olson and Malcolm Clouse came in second.

Pinochle

On Friday, February 2, Malcolm Clouse was top dog with 6,840, Kevin Stevens secured a second place finish with 6,380 and the traveling prize was awarded to Shirley Jones.

Whist

On Wednesday, January 31, Leonard Leader scored 52 to earn first place, Jeanette Heinle took second with 45 and the traveling prize was awarded to Ron Lundman.

Hi-Line Whist

On Tuesday, January 30, Lois and Clara took the first match of the day by a 14-8 tally while Gloria and Pearl evened the series at one with a 13-2 win in the second contest.

“We all played well and were happy,” Pearl said.

On Friday, February 2, Clara and Francis won the day taking two of three games from Pearl and Lois, 13-1, 1-14 and 18-5.

“They proved they were best,” admitted Pearl. “Next time is a coming.”
