Mustangs defeat Wildcats

Fighting to improve their standing in District 2B, the Malta Mustangs split their weekend games, defeating Harlem on Friday, January 19 in Malta and falling to Poplar on Saturday, January 20.

Malta defeated Harlem 54-42 and was led by senior Taylor Matthews, who scored 20 points.

"Boards and playing good defense," responded Malta senior captain Konner Kuehn, when asked about the key to the win.

Junior Kevin Henry had 10 points, Konner Kuehn had nine points, Landon VanWichen and Tel Jensen had three points, Kendall Koss had two points, Tanner Smith had one point and Kendall Moore had one point....
