On Tuesday, January 16, Nina Jones tallied 52 to take first place, six points better than Jerry Dupte’s 46 good for second. The traveling prize on the day was awarded to Clarence Blunt.
Pinochle
On Thursday, January 18, Nina Jones earned a first place victory after accumulating a score of 6,860. Ron Lundman notched 5,180 to take second place and the traveling prize was shared by Malcolm Clouse and Jerry Depute.
Hi-Line Whist
On Friday, January 16, the team of Lois and Clara defeated Curt and Francis by a score of 13- and the second game saw Pearl and Francis win over Lois and Clara by a 16-8 clip.
"We all did well and shared a happy handshake," Pearl reports.
On Friday, January 19, the team of Francis and Pearl swept the day's action over Clara and Agnes with 14-8 and 14-1 wins.
"We got all the good cards so to the top we rose," Pearl said.
