Lois L. Sandefur passed away in her sleep on Dec. 19, 2017 in Plains, Mont.. She was 96. She was born on a farm near Fountain, Minn., to George and Hattie Bacon on March 2, 1921. She married Herb Sandefur in 1939 and they lived in Minnesota until 1942 when they moved to Malta, Mont., While in Minnesota, Allan (1939) and Vicky (1942) were born. Herb and Lois divorced in 1951 and she married Richard Sandefur in 1957. They moved to Frenchtown, Mont., in 1989 and Richard passed away in 1991. In the fall of 2010, she moved with her daughter and son-in-law to Plains, Mont..
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, her son Allan and her husband Richard. She is survived by her daughter Vicky (Herb) Meagher, grandchildren; Todd (Teresa) Meagher, Mark (Desiree) Meagher, Rick (Wendy) Sandefur and Lisa (Bob) Sandefur. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Lois was an amazing, loving woman who was totally unselfish and had an enormous love for her family. In her younger years whenever she had a spare moment she would be found fishing and camping. Rest in Peace sweet lady.
Interment has taken place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula. A celebration of life will be held in the Spring. Condolences can be left for the family at http://www.susnetfuneralhomecemetery.com.
