Phillips County Sheriff's Report for November 8, 2017

October 20, 2017

11:26 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.

October 21, 2017

1:43 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

2:16 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

3:15 a.m. Male requested a welfare check on a family member who was having a disagreement with a significant other; Deputies responded to the call; all found to be okay, significant other left the location without further incident.

3:49 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory now in effect until 6pm Monday; High Wind Watch in effect from Sunday morning through evening for southwest Phillips Co.

10:19 a.m. Male reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Wagner crossing; information passed onto BNSF Police.

1:41 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory now in effect until 10am Sunday; High Wind Warning in effect from 10am-8pm Sunday; Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 8pm Sunday to 6pm Monday; all for central and southeast Phillips Co.High Wind Warning in effect from 10am-8pm Sunday for southwest and northern Phillips Co.

2:39 p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle alongside of Hwy 2, near the Phillips/Blaine Co line, with a dog tied to it; did not appear to be anyone around; Undersheriff responded to the call; no vehicle located alongside of Hwy 2 in the reported area.

5:01 p.m. Male reported a vehicle had driven off the Rock Creek cement bridge on CMR, east of Slippery Ann; no medical assistance needed; local Fish & Game Warden, Deputy, Reserve Deputy and CMR Officer responded to the call; case file started.

5:46 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory now in effect until 10am Sunday, from 8pm Sunday to 6pm Monday; High Wind Warning in effect from 10am-8pm Sunday.High Wind Warning remains in effect from 10am-8pm Sunday for northern and southwest Phillips Co.

6:19 p.m. Female reported a “toddler wandering around” a residential neighborhood; Deputy responded to the call; parent located and toddler returned to residence.

6:49 p.m. Deputy requested a tow truck for the vehicle involved in the Rock Creek accident; local rotational wrecker service responded to the call.

10:18 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Zortman area.

12:47 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

2:26 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Wagner area.

3:48 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory now in effect until 10am Sunday, from 8pm Sunday to 6pm Monday; High Wind Warning in effect from 10am-8pm Sunday.High Wind Warning remains in effect from 10am-8pm Sunday for northern and southwest Phillips Co.

9:55 a.m. High Wind Warning remains in effect until 8pm; Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 8pm tonight; Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 8pm tonight to 6pm Monday.

3:48 p.m. Male reported a power outage west of Malta; information passed onto NorthWestern Energy.

5:21 p.m. Female reported a power outage in Saco; information passed onto Big Flat Electric.

5:24 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, Christopher Embree, from PCSO Jail on time served.

6:42 p.m. High Wind Warning now in effect until 10pm; Lake Wind Advisory now in effect from 10pm tonight until 6pm Monday.

8:22 p.m. Deputy removed a tree branch from a residential street.

9:58 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6pm Monday; High Wind Warning will expire at 10pm.

October 23, 2017

3:04 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6pm.

8:02 a.m. Undersheriff reported to the Malta Grade School for Red Ribbon Week activities.

9:25 a.m. Female reported a possible burglary to her residence; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

2:18 p.m. Undersheriff released one adult female, Katrina Halbert, from PCSO Jail on time served.

3:56 p.m. Fire Protection reported a commercial burglary alarm sounding at a local business; Undersheriff responded to the call; all found to be okay.

4:14 p.m. Malta Grade School employee requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a juvenile; Sheriff handled the call.

5:30 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory now in effect until 9pm.

7:10 p.m. Female reported a Dish Network phone scam.

7:27 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a tenant; Deputy handled the call.

8:37 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

October 24, 2017

2:57 a.m. High Wind Watch in effect from Wednesday afternoon through late night for southwest Phillips Co.

9:58 a.m. Undersheriff transported one adult male, Brian Bell, from Valley Co Detention Center to PCSO Jail for District Court appearance.

3:18 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect from noon Wednesday to 9pm Thursday for central and southeast Phillips Co. High Wind Watch in effect from Wednesday afternoon to night for all of Phillips Co.

5:39 p.m. Female requested a welfare check on a family member who wasn’t answering her phone and was diabetic; Deputy responded to the call; family member located, was okay and was advised to call her daughter.

7:27 p.m. Male reported two dead deer in the driving lane, west of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; deer located and removed from the Hwy.

8:20 p.m. Male reported hitting 3 deer on Hwy 2, west of Malta; minimal damage to the caller’s vehicle; Deputy responded to the call; white form issued.

October 25, 2017

3:13 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from noon today to 9pm Thursday; High Wind Watch is canceled. High Wind Warning in effect from noon today until 6pm Thursday for southwest Phillips Co.

7:33 a.m. High Wind Warning now in effect until 6am Thursday for southwest Phillips Co.

7:37 a.m. Female reported a vehicle/deer accident on Hwy 191 north; no injuries to the occupant and airbags did deploy; Sheriff responded to the call; case file started.

9:29 a.m. Female reported a dog harassing her horses; Undersheriff responded to the call; dog located and removed from the area; owner located and dog returned.

10:00 a.m. Sheriff released and transported Brian Bell to Valley Co Detention Center and custody turned over to Dept of Corrections.

10:16 a.m. 911 received reporting an ATV accident with injuries north of Hinsdale; call transferred to Valley Co SO.

2:21 p.m. High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6am Thursday for southwest Phillips Co; Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9pm Thursday.

7:13 p.m. Deputy reported a vehicle left on the Wagner Hwy and had a flat tire; vehicle was off the roadway and not a hazard.

9:40 p.m. Individuals brought in a street sign that had blown over due to the wind; information passed onto City employee; sign later repaired and replaced.

October 26, 2017

3:14 a.m. High Wind Warning is canceled; Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9pm.

10:27 a.m. Male reported a fender/bender in the downtown area; Sheriff responded to the call; case file started.

11:04 a.m. Valley Co SO served a local warrant on one adult female, Kristie Lefdahl; female later incarcerated in Valley Co Detention Center on that charge.

2:05 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

2:25 p.m. A report of someone burning in their yard; Sheriff responded to the call; male located and advised no burning leaves per city ordinance. Male agreed to stop.

3:27 p.m. Male reported stolen license plates from a vehicle in Loring; Sheriff responded to the call; case file started.

5:53 p.m. Local Fire Dept advised they would be out of the barn for the Parade of Lights.

6:05 p.m. Female reported a dead deer on Hwy 2, near the old Malta Auto building; local MHP Trooper responded to the call and removed the deer.

6:07 p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle/deer accident on the east edge of Malta; caller advised he had left the scene; information passed onto local MHP Trooper; white form issued.

6:36 p.m. Male reported a stolen firearm; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

8:59 p.m. Interstate Alarm reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy and business manager responded to the call; all found to be okay and alarm reset.

October 27, 2017

3:44 a.m. Interstate Alarm reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy and business manager responded to the call; all found to be okay and alarm reset.

10:08 a.m. Female reported a scam requesting bail money.

11:32 a.m. Male reported missing livestock; information passed onto Livestock Inspector.

1:09 p.m. MHP Dispatch reported an erratic vehicle report on Hwy 2, westbound from Valley Co SO; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

1:20 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a female who fell down the stairs at a local business; Deputy and local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

4:22 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a strange monetary denomination she received as change from an out of town business; Deputy handled the call; information passed onto Havre PD.

7:24 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with an individual on Probation and was reported to have stolen some property in the Sleeping Buffalo area; Deputies and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; information passed onto Probation Officer; case file started.
