Phillips County Sheriff's Report for November 1, 2017

October 13, 2017

10:22 p.m. 911 received reporting an erratic vehicle in the Hillcrest area; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

October 14, 2017

10:04 a.m. Male reported a lost cell phone.

11:29 a.m. Male reported an erratic semi truck and trailer on Hwy 2, east of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; information passed onto MHP and Valley Co SO; vehicle later stopped by MHP Trooper.

1:02 p.m. Male reported receiving threats from other hunters near the CMR and the individuals were following him; local Fish & Game Warden responded to the call; situation handled without further incident.

1:59 p.m. Female reported a vehicle driving with two unrestrained children inside; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and was parked, driver not located.

October 15, 2017

12:15 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

1:00 a.m. Local tavern requested a Deputy perform a “walk-thru” of the business; Deputy handled the call.

6:31 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a male “who couldn’t get out of bed, was throwing up”; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

11:04 a.m. 911 received reporting a one vehicle, non-injury accident on Hwy 2, east of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee; case file started.

11:13 a.m. Local rotational wrecker service responded to the above accident per the registered owner’s request.

2:37 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 10am to midnight Monday.

3:33 p.m. Kenco Security reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy and managing party responded to the call; all found to be okay, nothing taken and alarm reset.

9:02 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a male involved in a heavy equipment accident off of the Regina Road; Deputy and local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

9:29 p.m. Local EMT Crew reported to the airport to pick up the flight crew, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient.

October 16, 2017

12:25 a.m. Deputy reported lots of smoke in the area of 9th St west; found to be an unreported controlled burn in a barrel.

1:56 a.m. Fire Protection reported a residential burglar alarm at a local residence; Deputies responded to the call; all found to be okay, no break in at the residence.

3:08 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10am to midnight today.

12:13 p.m. Female reported being harassed; Undersheriff handled the call.

12:39 p.m. Male reported being harassed; Undersheriff handled the call.

3:04 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 8am Wednesday.

3:48 p.m. Local Ambulance reported to the football field for the Froshmore game.

4:10 p.m. Malta Grade School employee requested law enforcement assistance with a juvenile left at the school; Deputy responded to the call; parent located and child taken to their residence.

7:53 p.m. Female reported a trailer dragging chains and causing sparks on Hwy 191 south, northbound towards Malta; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and chains taken care of.

8:08 p.m. 911 received reporting a burglar and theft of property at a Dodson residence; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

8:47 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

October 17, 2017

3:04 a.m. High Wind Warning in effect from 6pm-6am Wednesday for southwest Phillips Co; Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8am Wednesday.

4:27 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for an unresponsive male at a Saco residence; Deputy and Saco EMT Crew responded to the call; coroner case file started.

2:39 p.m. High Wind Warning remains in effect from 6pm-6am Wednesday for southwest Phillips Co; Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8am.

4:13 p.m. Female reported a missing dog and advised she had already called the City Shop.

8:31 p.m. Female reported a strong smell of smoke north of Wagner; caller advised of a fire between Harlem and Ft Belknap.

8:38 p.m. Local MHP Trooper reported to Hinsdale for a hay truck fire.

8:40 p.m. Male reported another male walking slowly, possibly intoxicated, on Central in the driving lane; Deputies responded to the call; male not located.

8:48 p.m. Saco Fire Dept advised they had been requested for mutual aid from the Hinsdale FD for the hay truck fire, structures were threatened.

10:07 p.m. Loring Fire Dept reported they were responding to a grass fire northeast of Loring; Whitewater and Malta FD responded to the call; Canadian FDs also responded to the call; Big Flat Electric advised of downed live power lines also; fire later controlled and extinguished.

10:40 p.m. Blaine Co SO reported a fire in the Turner area and may be headed our direction; information passed onto Fire Depts.

10:54 p.m. High Wind Warning in effect until 6am Wednesday for all of Phillips Co; Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8am Wednesday.

11:38 p.m. Male reported a power outage in the Frenchman area; information passed onto Big Flat Electric.

11:44 p.m. Daniels Co SO requested information on where all the smoke was coming from; caller advised of fires in the Harlem/Ft Belknap, Turner, Loring and Hinsdale areas.

October 18, 2017

12:45 a.m. MHP Dispatch reported a male whose vehicle ran out of fuel in the DY Junction area; MHP Trooper handled the call.

3:23 a.m. High Wind Warning is canceled; Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8am Wednesday.

6:26 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

1:38 p.m. 911 received reporting a fire off of Hwy 2, in Valley Co; call transferred to Valley Co SO.

2:49 p.m. Deputy reported two dogs running loose on Central Ave; information passed onto ACO.

5:34 p.m. Female reported a missing dog; dog later located.

9:55 p.m. Male reported the Strater crossing had been blocked for an extended amount of time; two trains were blocking the crossing; information passed onto BNSF Police.

11:39 p.m. Deputy performed a traffic stop which led to one juvenile being cited for MIP and two others released to their parents; case file started.

October 19, 2017

1:37 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 3pm Friday to 6pm Saturday.

8:06 a.m. Local business requested law enforcement assistance with a vehicle that had been parked in their lot for an extended amount of time; Deputy responded to the call; owner located and advised to move the vehicle.

10:23 a.m. Local Ambulance and Fire Dept reported to a mock scenario at Trafton Park for training; all patients transported to the PC Hospital.

12:57 p.m. Female requested a security check on residence in Malta; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay.

2:00 p.m. 911 received reporting a grass fire at a Saco ranch; Saco Fire Dept responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

2:52 p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle “all over the road”, eastbound from Dodson, on Hwy 2; information passed onto local MHP Trooper.

4:33 p.m. Juveniles filed a written complaint regarding threats received from a family member; Deputy handled the call.

6:01 p.m. 911 received reporting the caller seeing and smelling smoke in a residential neighborhood; Deputy and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; all found to be okay, no fire, just individuals putting powdered cement into a hopper.

7:04 p.m. 911 received reporting a fire alarm going off at a neighbor’s apartment; Deputy responded to the call; apartment manager located and got the alarm shut off.

October 20, 2017

1:11 a.m. Deputy performed security checks on local businesses.

3:35 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 3pm today until 6pm Saturday.

12:06 p.m. Male reported a jail phone scam.

2:08 p.m. Male reported a Hit & Run to a vehicle; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

2:09 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6pm Saturday.

5:06 p.m. Deputy incarcerated one adult male, Christopher Embree, into PCSO Jail to serve time on a Misdemeanor Probation warrant.

5:42 p.m. Local MHP Trooper transported one adult female, Katrina Halbert, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on a MHP warrant.

7:16 p.m. 911 received reporting two intoxicated individuals getting into a vehicle on Central Ave in the downtown area; caller didn’t think either one should be driving; Deputies responded to the call; individuals taken to a hotel for the night, neither had been driving.

8:28 p.m. Female reported a door left open on a school bus near MHS; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay and no one around; school employee located and took care of the locking of the door.
